Lungwort (Pulmonaria spp.) is a medicinal herb with an affinity for the lungs in particular and the respiratory system in general. It can also be used for skin or urinary tract problems. It has a long tradition of use in our country. According to several books in the Romanian National Library, in the past, Pulmonariae Herba was used in paediatrics to address problems such as tuberculosis and scrofula (a disease characterized by inflammation of the cervical, inguinal or axillary lymph nodes). In Poland, Pulmonariae Herba, Pulmonariae Herba, is registered in the National Database of Health Promotion Products and is approved for pharmaceutical use.
