Isop essential oil is extracted by distillation from the inflorescence and top of the plant Hyssopus officinalis var. decumbens, which belongs to the family Lamiaceae (Labiatae). It occurs mainly in: France, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Brazil and Palestine. It has affinity for the respiratory, circulatory and digestive systems.
